The Norwegian government has presented a comprehensive program aimed at preventing and treating gaming addiction. The initiative is set for the period from 2026 to 2029 and includes comprehensive measures to reduce risks, especially among youth.

The plan combines preventive campaigns, the development of a treatment system, and the expansion of research activities. Special attention is given to training staff in public services who will recognize signs of addiction and respond to the problem in a timely manner.
