A Mexican lawmaker has unveiled an initiative aimed at restricting television gambling adverts to better protect young people.
New bill targets «family viewing time»
Federal MP Jerico Abramo Masso has proposed a law that would ban gambling adverts during «family viewing» hours. The measure is intended to reduce the impact of sports betting and casino marketing on minors.
The initiative was unveiled against the backdrop of Mexico preparing for the expected growth in TV viewing of sporting events, including the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 to be held in North America.
Codere Online ended 2025 on a positive note in terms of revenue, setting a record for quarterly performance. However, the company could face serious tax pressure in key Latin American markets in 2025-2026.
