Yesterday, I was digging through our store, checking what was happening with the competitors. One of them had a significant growth in commercial queries over the past six months. I looked at their backlinks, and the picture was interesting: not hundreds of junk sites, but exactly 30 websites with high traffic and trust. Everything was neat, portioned, and clear. Our backlink profile, on the other hand, has a skew in the opposite direction: there are many donors, but little benefit… You get the idea.
I decided to delve deeper and also test the competitor backlink analysis that Sape recently added. I entered my domain and 4 direct competitors. Here’s what the system produced:
