Fighting logic from Polymarket players
Have you seen the tail wagging the dog? Or how the wind blows because trees wave their branches?
Polymarket players tried to perform approximately the same struggle with logic. Not all of them, but those who bet on «No» in the bet «Will Iran attack Israel on 10 March?».»
On 10 March, an Iranian missile falls in a wooded area near Beit Shemesh. The Times of Israel journalist Emanuel Fabian reports that.
In the evening of the same day, a certain Daniel writes to a journalist:
«В article and in your tweet you wrote: «One rocket hit an open area near Beit Shemesh.»
However, it was apparently an intercepted missile, and its wreckage and fragments of the interceptor fell at the scene.
If you could fix it tonight, you would be doing me and many others a huge favour.»
Then came the emails, private messages, X comments - from all sorts of people. The full timeline - here.
A certain «Haim» on WhatsApp generally gave «half an hour to fix it», threatened to avenge the $900K loss and finish off the journalist.
What's the matter? It's simple. under the terms of the bet, an Iranian strike «doesn't count» if the missile is intercepted. If they rewrite the news, it's as if the hit didn't happen - according to the players' logic.
But it only ended with Polymarket blocking the accounts and handing over the data to the authorities (see the screenshot of the statement). Because there is nothing to fight reality - it is stronger anyway.
