CEO of Game Lounge Leaves the Company
Richard Dennis held the position of CEO at Game Lounge since February 2024. He actively represented the company at industry events, gave interviews, and generally led a quite media-friendly lifestyle.
Yesterday, he announced on his LinkedIn that his collaboration with Game Lounge has come to an end.
The interim CEO will be the company’s founder and board member Jonas Sederholm, who previously held this position.
Dennis did not specify the reasons for his departure; however, several sources speaking on condition of anonymity claim that he has recently struggled to find common ground with the founder. Additionally, in February, it was reported that the company had begun layoffs.
According to Dennis, he will spend the next few months with family and friends, and then consider opportunities at the board level, consulting, and investments.
Codere Group, a gaming operator, is up for sale with an estimated value of €2-2.3bn. The sale process may begin in the coming weeks, with the deal expected to close by August.
