A colleague SEO shared a story: his client received an offer to boost AI visibility.
“Your GEO score is a shameful 20, while competitors have 60.”.
But the competitors in the KPI turned out to be pages on Reddit, IBM, and Wikipedia. ☹️
This amused my colleague, and he scheduled a call in incognito mode. Here is their plan to boost AI visibility:
- implement microdata and FAQs;
- leave 10 comments on Reddit;
- write 10 articles of up to 500 words;
- create a page on Wikipedia.
And not a word about indexing, technical aspects, or trust. In general, the scheme is clear: they are scamming owners who have never worked with marketers.
