Interview with Artyom Kravchenko! Part 1.

Highroller releases an interview with an old-timer of the affiliate sphere — Artyom Kravchenko!

Let's discuss the goal of Artyom's channel, the black and white in arbitration, content in the sphere, threats, and negative posts.

You regularly write in the channel. A lot and consistently. What is your motivation?

1. A loafer with a lot of free time and thoughts in his head. This channel is run as a personal blog, not as a project with a high goal.
2. Initially, I just recorded everything that came to mind for myself, so as not to forget or to ponder it later. The content caught the attention of a colleague who strongly advised making that blog public. I continue to record my thoughts in any case, whether someone reads it or just myself.

You specifically write about certain people. Why aren't you afraid of ruining relationships with them?

1. People generally have a «us/them» mindset. If you write about me, it should only be good. If you wrote something bad about me, it means you are bad yourself, you are an enemy.
2. I don't have such prejudices. Even if a conditionally positive and pleasant person does something strange, I will express my attitude towards the actions and situation without embellishment, without allowances for friendship. If someone unpleasant does something good, I will also write about the worthy deed, leaving personal dislike aside.
3. People find it hard to admit that just because we are friends, it doesn't mean I will speak exclusively positively. The people I will support unconditionally and always take their side without question are my wife and mother. For everyone else, equal treatment applies = evaluate the situation, not the person, evaluate the action, not the one who performed it, argue with the argument, not with the one who presented it.

Do you think targeted negative posts have affected the number of advertisers you have?

Two points:

• First — no one likes negative connotation. It's obvious. A channel that is entirely negative in itself does not contribute to sales. A person who once badmouthed you does not add any points to themselves for you to buy something from them.
• The second point — I DON'T SELL ANYTHING TO ANYONE. I don't care at all, I run the channel as I enjoy. Even if nothing is ever sold there to anyone, I will still run it. Monetization is handled by another person who independently decides who to sell to, at what price, at what time, and under what conditions.

I have no idea who our advertisers are, how many integrations we have, or how many posts I owe to whom. Even if Ivanov sold my dignity along with my ass somewhere, I will only find out about it after the fact. That's how it is.

How often do you receive threats because of your posts?

1. Consistent criticism of something has never led to threats. However, jokes on the verge of absurdity, when you present a situation as ridiculously as possible while trying to convey some sensible and appropriate message, often cause some annoyance in people. If such jokes touch on something personal, the person usually signals that they are annoyed and will give a spanking. This happens from time to time, but so far no one has given a spanking.

What kind of threats? Just a beating or something more serious?

1. It varies at different times. «Choose a knife, brass knuckles, or a gun» was the most harmless option) In general, I don't worry about such things, so I just don't remember them, but I keep the most iconic ones as a memory.

You're not afraid of threats, but you delete some posts. Why?

1. I delete if Ivanov asks or if a person comes and requests it. The channel accommodates and respects the right to privacy. I delete something once, and after that, neither the person nor the company is ever mentioned in the channel in any context again.

BUT. The number of «Delete!» requests is actually somewhat unreasonable, as if it's some damn mainstream media. And I have, at most, 15 readers there.
