After the cool guys from Kenya, we wanted to monitor how Nigeria is performing (and if it is). But we stumbled upon a fun problem: Nigerian slang.

Strictly speaking, it's not even slang. It's Nigerian Pidgin, a hellish mix of English and local languages. And it has its own terms related to casinos and betting.

Here are a few examples:

1. Oya bet now - «come on, place your bet quickly.» In screenshot 1 - an example of a creative that has been running since last year. Not a video, as the approach is familiar - a girl talks about slots.
2. Chop money - a call to earn money (in casinos or on bets). However, it is most often used in crypto (screenshot 2).
3. Big boy wins - «the cool guy won, hit the jackpot.» An alternative is «Pikin win big» («the little one won»).
4. Ba wahala (no wahala) - no problem. For example, «no wahala cashout.» This expression is used in gambling, crypto, microloans, and even in everyday life (screenshot 3).
5. No dulling, spin now - «don't be slow, spin now.» Or just «No dulling» (screenshot 4).

You can find local expressions on Reddit (for example, here or here). There are even entire dictionaries.

This will be useful for everyone: both in SEO and for creatives to build trust. Because... well, locals don't speak like an Oxford graduate.
