I’m following a guy on Twitter, he runs a service called Presswhizz. It seems to be a marketplace for sites focused on article links, similar to the platform PRnews.io.

According to him, they recently reached a turnover of over $10M per year in 18 months (it was $60K per month). They did it themselves, without investors, loans, etc.

I don’t rule out that he might be embellishing the numbers, but ten years ago, I would have never thought that the market for selling links, drops, and other consumables would not only be alive but grow this much)

It’s no wonder they say the most profitable thing is to «sell shovels to gold diggers»

P.S. I wanted to quickly check the turnover of GoGetLinks and Miralinks for comparison — I got stuck for almost an hour.. They hide Russian legal entities, but I found them anyway:

• Miralinks — revenue of 243 million rubles for 2024 (= $3 million)
• GoGet — revenue of 192 million rubles for 2024 (= $2.3 million)

Most likely, payments through crypto and foreign cards are not yet accounted for here. They accept those as well.

If I recall correctly, the entire empire of Mirafox grew from selling links, although now they look like a classic foreign investment fund and have distanced themselves from Russian projects.
