Updates on Limits in Grok: What Has Changed?

Important update on Grok — the free ride is over.

About a week ago, when I was writing a guide on Grok, I noticed that the limits were significantly reduced even for images.

Switching between different accounts did not help; a payment prompt appeared.

Now you have started writing about this, so I decided to make a post.

There is no official information on the limits. Neither from xAI nor from X. But from various sources, the limits have either been cut almost to zero or significantly reduced.

It feels like they introduced some long limit — possibly for a month. Because the daily limit is definitely not updating. But this is not confirmed.

Interestingly, OpenAI recently shut down Sora altogether.

In short, simply allowing people to ‘play around’ with generation is not profitable. Therefore, everywhere, especially with video, we are facing strict limits in the near future.
