Legends don't die
They get into the slots of the best provider on the market
Today on the channel is a special edition of fresh slots review - a big review of The Crypt 2 from Nolimit City. I was really looking forward to the release of this slot, and I was waiting for a reason - the first part was a bridge to the world of gambling, kid's parties and just a great stage in my life.
Let's see what has remained unchanged from the first part, and what chips the developers have prepared especially for the sequel
Base
The second part is based on a 6x7 grid (top three rows blocked) with 4096 / 531,441 ways to win with full reel expansion. Volatility is extreme (well, how else could it be ), RTP 96,1%, max win went from x27,000 to x31,248 (I didn't find the traditional numerical passphrase from noelimit here). That being said, the bonuska falls out more often - on average 1 time per 265 spins vs 1 time per 328 in the first part.
The visuals remain in the same monochrome style with purple mist at the base, the eye at the top of the screen is now actively involved in gameplay.
Repurposed from the first part
Apart from similar visuals, xNudge Wilds and xWays have been transferred to the second part unchanged. The first one is a widening on the whole reel wild (+1 to multiplier for each symbol broken down), the second one is 2-3 identical revealing symbols, which increase the number of elements on the reel and ways to win.
Also unchanged are the stunt mechanics and upbeat hard rock on the soundstage
New heroes
The main differences in the second part are the new characters and mechanics. In the first part Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse, Lemmy from Motorhead and Elvis performed. In the second, Brian Johnson (AC/DC), Axl Rose (Guns N’ Roses), Ozzy Ozbourne, Dolly Parton (country music legend) and two more heroes not yet identified.
New mechanics
Instead of turning legends into wilds (as in the first part), the eye collection system now works.
• Eye Collector. Each rock legend has eyes: the cheapest symbol has 1 eye, the others have 2 eyes each. Eye Collector collects eyes, and for every 5 pieces a multiplier x1 is added to the winnings, then the symbol turns into a wild.
• Spider. The chip is activated when the Eye Collector is present and generates 4-12 additional eyes, which then also form multipliers.
• Forsaken Fingers. Opens blocked rows at the top of the playing field, then turns into a wild.
• Bonus Entombed Spins. As in the first part, progression through levels works, but with different triggers. Each scatter gives 1-2 diamonds, you need 4 pieces to move to a new level. With each new level the player gets +2 spins and double the number of eyes of the passed legend.
For full immersion and final verdict you need to spin the slot for a couple of hours in a good company, which I plan to do at the weekend (I will share skids, if there will be any). In the meantime, here you go reference on The Crypt 2 playlist spotify, the track I'm Not a Goner is firmly on my playlist
