This Friday, Polymarket will open its first offline location under its own brand in the USA.
The announcement appeared on Polymarket's official account on the SubStack platform.
The establishment called «The Situation Room» will open in Washington, D.C.
The name is a reference to the «Situation Room» in the West Wing of the White House (also in Washington). This is the room where the US leadership monitors major global crises in real-time and makes key decisions. Thus, the concept of the establishment is built around the idea of observing events almost from within the process.
It is known that the establishment will operate similarly to a sports bar, but instead of sports broadcasts and odds on the screens, there will be the X feed, Bloomberg news, and other news media, as well as «markets» on Polymarket, of course.
The project is highly likely either an experiment or a PR stunt. Polymarket does not publish any additional details about it, and even the exact address of the establishment is kept secret.
