Hello again Fresh amendments from the government, towards Cheburnet
The RKN can now isolate Russians from the global Internet at the push of a button. The government has signed Resolution No. 1667, which gives the agency full control over the Internet in Russia.
According to the document, the RCN will be able to give orders to operators and providers, change traffic routes and redirect it through its servers, enable blocking and filtering, and even take manual control over the entire Runet and isolate it from the rest of the network. All measures are aimed at improving the safety of Russians on the Internet. The decree will come into force on March 1, 2026.
