Email collection on mirror sites
How do most people act (myself included)? They place «Login» and «Register» links in the header of the mirror site. The links lead directly to the casino site.
Recently, I came across an interesting implementation with email collection directly on mirror sites. The same «Login» and «Register» buttons, but when clicked, the user is asked to enter their email, similar to a normal login/registration form.
The user enters it, clicks the «Submit» button, and receives a message:
Oops, something went wrong, you will now be redirected to the current mirror.
After which a JS redirect triggers and sends them to the casino site.
As a result, the user experience is slightly worse, but the affiliate retains their email and can follow up with newsletters.
