The material lasted in the results for only 5 days, after which it disappeared from the index due to a series of DMCA complaints from unknown parties. The article cannot even be found by its exact title, and a publication on Search Engine Land was similarly removed.
According to the Lumen Database, the complaints claim that the investigation infringes copyright on materials from The Verge dated 2024, although the publication itself has not made any claims.
Press Gazette reached out to Google for comments and clarifications regarding the reasons for the removal.
