Behind the recent data leak at MGA is allegedly a hacker from Germany
A girl named Lilith Wittmann stated on her LinkedIn page that she is the one behind the recent hack of one of MGA’s internal systems.
She claims to have irrefutable evidence that MGA is aiding criminal organizations while hiding behind its status. However, she does not provide any specific evidence.
According to her, part of the obtained data has already been passed to the media and government authorities.
Furthermore, Wittmann has appealed to the German authorities not to extradite her to Malta, where she faces up to 10 years in prison for such an act, and if there are active actions from the Maltese law enforcement, she will publish the complete archive of the data she possesses.
At the same time, in the concluding part of her post, Wittmann notes that all information will be published later anyway, creating uncertainty for Maltese law enforcement regarding whether to act actively now or what difference it makes.
So far, Wittmann has not presented any evidence of her involvement in the MGA hack. However, her name was already in the headlines a year ago when data from more than 800,000 players of the operator Merkur was leaked online.
