Allegations against Playtech founder Teddy Sagi: investigation and facts

Playtech founder Teddy Sagi has been accused of harboring Timur Mindich

Izvestia« published a material in which it is claimed that a 490-square-meter mansion on 25 Galey-Thelet Street in the elite district of Herzliya (a suburb of Tel Aviv) belongs to an offshore company «Longhill Holdings Limited» from the British Virgin Islands, and the beneficiary is the founder of iGaming provider «Playtech» Teddy Sagi. According to the newspaper's version, this mansion worth about $6.8m may hide Timur Mindich, a defendant in a corruption case in Ukraine and a former co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio.

The iGN editorial team conducted its own check and was unable to confirm some of the allegations. A search for «Longhill Holdings Limited» from the British Virgin Islands yielded no results either in the «Offshore Leaks» database or in the BVI Financial Services Commission registry (a written request with payment is required). In the «OpenCorporates» database» found company «לונגהיל הולדינגס לימיטד» (Longhill Holdings Limited, reg. no.560028805, active status) from the Israeli registry with the status of a branch of a foreign company registered at an address in Tel Monda. The parent jurisdiction of the company is not specified.

It also failed There is no publicly available source confirming Teddy Sagi's connection to a company called «Longhill Holdings Limited». Nor has there been any confirmation that the Cypriot Kikis Treppides, to whom the publication attributes the position of director of the offshore company, is actually connected with this company.
